Jerry Roberts, 44, of Fitzgerald, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, November 22, 2014, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Harris Johnson and the Rev. Danny Gay officiating. Interment will follow in the Prospect Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 Friday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Jerry was born October 15, 1970, in Fitzgerald to Linda Young Roberts and the late Gerald Roberts. He attended Fitzgerald High School and was owner/operator of Roberts Vinyl Siding. He worked in construction most of his life. An avid hunter and fisherman, Jerry loved the outdoors and enjoyed watching his son and daughter participate in sports and other activities. He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Anna Allen Roberts; two children: John Henry Roberts and Emma Jo Roberts; his mother: Linda Young Roberts; a brother: Alan Roberts; a sister: Cindy Roberts Dennard & Brian; a nephew: Ty Dennard; grandparents: John Ezra & Ruby B. Young, all of Fitzgerald; aunts and uncles: Kenny & Nancy Young of Fitzgerald, Connie & Rev. Derrell Hampton of Waterloo, and Ken & Cathy Roberts of Lakeland, Florida. Several cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his father: Gerald Roberts.
