Charles Lee Hopkins, 82, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at the Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville, Georgia.
Funeral services will be private.
Mr. Hopkins was born August 20, 1932, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Milton Newton and Hattie Lee Walker Hopkins. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. Mr. Hopkins was in the banking industry while he lived in Arlington, Texas and later retired as Fire Chief in Scottsdale, Arizona. He moved back to the community in 2000 from Tempe, Arizona. He was a car enthusiast and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings: Milton N. “Buddy” Hopkins, Ann Hopkins Davidson, John Hopkins and Jack Hopkins.
