Victoria S. “Nana” (Musto) Morgan, age 96, of Norton, formerly of Abington, passed away peacefully , with her loving family and friends by her side on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at home.
She was the beloved wife of the late William S. Morgan, and the late Joseph F. Banda who was killed in action during WWII.
Born in Revere, MA on February 19, 1918, she was a loving daughter of the late Marciano and Raffaella (Tanso) Musto. She grew up and was educated in Somerville.
Nana was a dedicated homemaker to her loving family. She also had previously worked as a cashier at the former Codex Co and in the sales department at the former Almy’s Department Store in Brockton.
A resident of Norton for the past 35 years, Mrs. Morgan was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton and enjoyed singing, along with friends as a member of the Norton Senior Group.
Nana’s family was the focal point of her life and she especially treasured the times spent with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo, and cribbage.
She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter; Carol J. Murray Shannon and her husband Joe of Norton and New Hampshire, her cherished grandchildren; James E. Murray, Jr. of Norton, Kathleen M. Corbeil and her husband Ed of Norton and Gail Straccia and her husband Robert of Danvers, her adoring great grandchildren; Chelsie, Amanda, Kaylee, Joey, Ryan and Kyle. She was the loving sister of Helen F. Sabbag of Hingham and Hull. She was the dear sister in law of James Banda of Wilmington and Jackie Musto of Bradford. She was the step mother of Virginia LoBuono of Lowell and is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and step grandchildren.
Her Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Tuesday October 28th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power St., Norton. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Rockland.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, October 27th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Avenue) Norton.
