Gary S. Boyden, age 60, of Marshfield, formerly of Mansfield and Norton passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, October 10, 2014.
Born in Taunton, MA on January 4, 1954, he was a loving son of William F. Boyden of Norton and the late Dorothy M. (Baker) Boyden. He grew up in Norton and was 1972 graduate of Norton High School.
For the majority of his working career, Mr. Boyden had been employed as a Maintenance Supervisor . He had made his home in Marshfield for the past 2 years and was a former longtime resident of Mansfield and Norton.
Gary loved spending time with his family; especially his grandsons, and will always be remembered as the life of the party.
He was a true motorcycle enthusiast whose hobbies included tinkering with antique cars; MG’s being his favorite. His other pastimes included camping and hanging out at the beach.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his loving and devoted daughters; Lori L. Naismith and her longtime companion Michael Santomarco of Walpole and Debra L. Newport and her husband Michael of Taunton. He was the dear brother of William Boyden of Fall River, Mark Boyden of South Carolina and the late Lori Boyden. He is also survived by his cherished grandsons; Drew Naismith and Travis Newport, his former wives; Stacey R. Boyden of Mansfield and Paula J. Boyden of Attleboro, his best friend “Bandit”, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend his graveside funeral service on Wednesday, October 15th at 11:00 A.M. at the Norton Center Cemetery on Pine Street in Norton.
Visiting hours are omitted and in lieu of flowers, Gary’s family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the Taunton Animal Shelter, 821 West Water Street, Taunton, MA 02780.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St., Norton.
