Savoia, Barbara A. (Geraghty) 80, of Plymouth passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 2. Wife of the late Albert “Ben” Savoia. She leaves a son John “Jay” Savoia and his wife Elaine of Plymouth, 2 daughters Debra Whelan of Plymouth and Susan Savoia of Kingston, NH, mother in-law of the late Daniel Whelan Jr. Loving grandmother of Mia Marsocci, Wendy Buote and her husband Will, Daniel Whelan III, John “JJ” Savoia II, Robert Savoia, and Andrew Whelan. She leaves 6 great grandchildren, Rick, Alyssa, Kylie, Allison, Maddie and Michael. Barbara was the daughter of John F. and Helen (Lynch) Geraghty. She is also survived by 1 brother John Geraghty and 2 sisters Carole Geraghty and Elinor Harold and was predeceased by her sister Joan Roy. Barbara was happiest when she was cooking and spending time with her family. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bonaventure Parish 803 State Road (Rte. 3A) Plymouth (Manomet) on Saturday October 11, 2014 at 10:00 AM Private burial will be at a later date at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
