Obituary

Michael P. Bleday, 85, of Plymouth, died September 28th at Stafford Hill Assisted Living Center, Plymouth, of complications resulting from a stroke last January.
He leaves a loving family of his wife of 26 years, Diane Bleday, two sons, Raymond and wife Kathy Bleday, Ronald and wife Maureen Bleday, daughter Irene and husband Richard Schneider, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was predeceased by his first wife, Eleanor Bleday. He also is mourned by the families of his wife, Diane.
Born and raised in New York City, he graduated from City College of New York and earned Master’s degrees both in Physics and in Engineering Management from Northeastern University. He was employed as an engineer and as a project manager at the Raytheon Company for 40 years. He raised his family in Concord, and later resided in Carlisle before moving to Plymouth in 2008.
A lifelong avid tennis player, Mr. Bleday also was active in his Lexington St. Nicholas Orthodox Church of which he was a charter member. In retirement, he and his wife enjoyed foreign travel.
Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home at 619 State Road, Plymouth, from 5-8 P.M. on Thursday, October 2nd. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11 A.M. at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church at 17 Merriam St, Lexington, MA, on Friday, October 3rd. Burial will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord.
