Silva, Jayme Sr. 87, of Carver passed away at home on September 20, Husband of the late Lilia L. (Pacheco) Silva. Father of Jayme Jr. of Bourne, Inga Silva of Sunnyvale, CA, Enid Silva of New Bedford, Dusten, of Carver and Peter of Plymouth. He also leaves 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Jayme was born in New Bedford the son of Manuel and Bernadina (Soares) Silva. He graduated from New Bedford High School and Bryant College. He joined the U.S. Navy and served as a Medical Corpsmen during WWII. He worked for what is now NStar Electric for over 38 years. He loved to support and spend time with his family.
Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home 373 Court Street (Rte. 3A) N. Plymouth on Wednesday September 24, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday September 25 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Jayme’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s Choice.
