Earle L. Nash, III, age 57, of Norton, formerly of Mansfield passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen A. (Murphy) Nash to whom he was wed for 34 years.
Born in Norwood, MA on February 1, 1957, he was a loving son of Margaret A. (Costello) Nash of North Attleboro and the late Earle L. Nash, Jr. He grew up in Mansfield and was a 1975 graduate of Mansfield High School.
Earle had been most recently employed as a sales representative for Ed Lyons Fire Equipment in East Taunton. He had formerly worked for over 20 years at Greenwood Fire Apparatus in North Attleboro and was a member of the New England Fire Apparatus Mechanics Association.
A resident of Norton for over 30 years, he was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his hobbies included playing pool, golf, fishing , and being a true stock car enthusiast. Earle was a talented mechanic and enjoyed repairing cars and small engines. His other interests included woodworking and metal fabricating.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his devoted children; Jeffrey E. Nash of Attleboro and Jacqueline M. Nash of Brighton. He was the dear brother of Janet L. Fesik and her husband Richard of North Attleboro, Mary V. Stowe and her husband Walter of Bellingham, Kathleen T. Zarrella and her husband William of Florida and Dennis M. Nash and his wife Kim of Indiana. He was the cherished brother in law of Patricia Jordan and her husband Albert of Norton, Jean Lincoln and her husband George of Norton, Patricia Murphy of Maryland and the late Francis Murphy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Sunday, September 14th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St. Mansfield.
A funeral services will be held at the conclusion of visiting hours at 7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Earle’s family has requested that contributions in his memory be made to the Norton Ambulance Gift Account, 70 East Main St., Norton, MA 02766
