Maureen V. (McCullagh) Buchan, age 80, of Norton, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the Epoch Senior Healthcare in Norton. She was the beloved wife of Walter Buchan to whom she was wed on July 2, 1960.
Born in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England on Octobe19, 1933, she was a loving daughter of the late John J. and Vera McCullagh. She grew up and was educated in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
At the age of 34, Maureen moved to the United States and settled in Norton where she had made her residence and served as a dedicated homemaker for the past 46 years.
A member of the Norton Historical Society, Mrs. Buchan loved spending time with her family, was an avid gardener and enjoyed taking nature walks in Norton and also while she and her husband spent the winter months in Florida.
She is survived by her devoted son Mark Buchan and his wife Lisa of Norton and their three children; Sarah, Alex and Jack, and was the mother of the late Keith Buchan. She was the dear sister of Lawrence McCullagh and his wife Linda of Scotland and the late Shirley Oates, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Services and burial will be private. Visiting hours are omitted and those wishing, may remember Maureen with a donation in her memory to Epoch Senior Healthcare, 184 Mansfield Avenue, Norton, MA 02766.
