Marion Rogers "Roger" Baker, 82, of Frankton, died Sunday August 24, 2014 at Community Hospital after a courageous year long battle with cancer.

He was born June 1, 1932 in Anderson to Majors and Doris M. (Rickard) Baker.

He served in the United States Navy for 8 years; 3 years in Korea.

He worked as a tool maker 32 years at Delco Remy Division of General Motors; Madison County Sheriff's Department over 25 years and was employed as a security officer at Community Hospital.

He loved to fish and hunt and was very active in the American Legion where he was Department Commander for the State of Indiana in 2003 & 2004. He was presented with the Sagamore of the Wabash in 2004.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Jeannine (Freestone) Baker whom he married December 21, 1958; daughter, Teresa Leann (Brad) Sayre of Alexandria; son-in-law, Mike Walker of Frankton; sister, Margaret "Maggi" Wable of Anderson; 2 brothers-in-law Daniel Freestone and David Freestone; five grandchildren, Dustin and Joshua Bell; Britton & Megan Chambless and Shelby Irwin; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tracy Lynn Walker, sister, Mary Martha Wiley and his parents.

Services will be 11 am Friday, August 29, 2014 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
Burial will be in K. of P. I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Frankton with military honors by the Lapel American Legion.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 28 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
