Robert A. Lambert, age 64, of Attleboro passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of Gail A. (Smith) Lambert to whom he was wed on November 26, 1994.
Born in Attleboro, MA on November 29, 1949, he was a loving son of the late Roger P. and Marion (Walker) Lambert. He grew up and was educated in Norton.
A resident of Attleboro for the past 25 years, he had previously made his home in Norton. Bob had worked as a bartender for over 20 years at the Norton VFW Post 8049 prior to retiring.
Bob loved being in the presence of family and friends, but most of all with his adoring grandsons. His interests included sports of which harness racing was his favorite.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his devoted sons; Troy R. Lambert and his wife Renee of Attleboro and Brent M. Lambert and his wife Amy of Attleboro. He was the dear brother of Roger D. Lambert and his wife Diane of Olathe, Kansas, Patti Lambert of Sanbornton, New Hampshire and the late Leonard “Skipper” Lambert. He is also survived by cherished grandsons; Trent Lambert and Jordan Silva, his dear aunt; Barbara Walker of Taunton, and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday, August 16th at 10:00 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial will follow at the North Purchase Cemetery in Attleboro.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, August 15th from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
