Justin Gabriel Dye, 55, of Mansfield, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014, from colon cancer.
A self-employed Engineer, Justin specialized in medical devices and surgical instruments. He held many patents. A dad first above many passions, he was an avid cyclist and hockey player and spent his spare time renovating and restoring his home in Mansfield with incredible detail and care.
In the 80's Justin served as an aircraft mechanic and Loadmaster in the US Air Force, traveling the world and living around the US. In 1995 he earned a BSME from Washington State University and returned home to MA.
His family will remember him for his loyalty and steadfastness and his ability to instill confidence in those around him.
All were inspired by Justin's strength, resolve, cleverness, humor, kindness, intensity, grit and his love of adventure and life that came through in everything he did.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Elizabeth Cleveland Dye of Mansfield, MA; father Henry Louis Dye, 90, of Holbrook, MA; siblings Denise Lee, Noelle Dye, Ian Dye and their families. Justin's legacy will live on in his five children; Michelle Dye Striebel of Duxbury, MA; Gabriel Dye of Seoul, Korea; Benjamin Lasater of Santa Barbara, CA; Adam Dye of Atlanta, GA; and Anna Dye of Mansfield, MA; and his grandchildren Shane and Samantha Striebel.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend will be held from 2-4 pm, Sunday, August 24th, and will be followed by a memorial service at the Sherman Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield, MA.
