Leslie A. Glass, 72, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home in Ocilla.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Glass was born October 13, 1941 in Louisa, Virginia, to the late John Leslie and Daisy Marie Grubbs Glass. A former resident of Hialeah, Florida, he had lived in the community for the past eleven years. Mr. Glass received vocational training in HVAC and also bookkeeping. He was a former truck driver for Bowman, REA Express and Gator Freight. Mr. Glass served in the United States Air Force. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Brenda Hudson Glass of Irwin County; sons: John Leslie Glass of Florida, David Allen Glass of Mason, Ohio and Eugene Newton Glass of Irwin County; a daughter: Elizabeth Marie & David Broach of Mason, Ohio; two grandsons: Matthew Broach and Matthew Motes; two sisters: Gladys Visushil and Shirley & Dale Shields, all of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Robert Glass and a niece: Sunnie Shields.
