Jayne M. (Anderson) Fortier, age 56, of Norton passed away at home on Monday, July 14, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Peter F. Fortier to whom she was wed for 37 years.
Born in Brockton, MA on March 20, 1958, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Pauline (Ouimette) Anderson.
Jayne grew up and was educated in Stoughton, and was a 1976 graduate of Stoughton High School. She had worked for 7 years in the offices of ARS/Heating & AC in West Bridgewater.
A resident of Norton for the past 34 years, She was a communicant of Holy Cross Church in Easton. Jayne’s life revolved around her loving family, especially her grandchildren whom she treasured dearly.
In addition to her beloved husband Peter, she is survived by her children; David E. Fortier of Addison, New York and Michelle L. Harlow and her husband B.J. of Raynham. She was the adoring grandmother of Alicia, Haylee, Carrie and Kaylah Fortier, and Jamie and Alexis Harlow. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, her brother and sister-in-laws, and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Saturday, July 19th at 10:00 in the Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase St., Easton. Burial will follow at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 18th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.
