Marilyn A. (Kent) Fairbairn, age 79, of Norton, formerly of Stoughton passed away at home, under the loving and dedicated care of her family, on Friday, June 27, 2014.
Born in Boston, MA on October 18, 1934, she was a loving daughter of the late William and Bertha (Eaton) Kent.
She grew up and was educated in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. Prior to retiring she had worked for several years as a Data Programmer at Fios in Norwood.
Marilyn’s favorite times spent were those in the presence of her loving family, especially with her grandchildren. She had made her home in Norton for the past 18 years and always kept a special place in her heart for dogs.
She is survived by her loving and devoted children; Paula Fairbairn of Stoughton, Alfred “Eddie” Fairbairn of Stoughton and William Fairbairn and his wife Susan of Norton. She was the dear sister of Joan Powalitis of Wareham and is also survived by her cherished grandchildren; Derek, Steven, Tyler and Sandra, and her great grandson Dylan.
In accordance to her wishes, services and burial will be held privately and visiting hours have been omitted.
