Stephanie (Szteligo) Lynch, age 93, of Pawtucket, RI, formerly of Norton and Taunton, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Pawtucket Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pawtucket. She was the beloved wife of the late William C. Lynch who died on December 2, 1981.
Born in Taunton, Ma on August 9, 1920, she was a loving daughter of the late John and Katherine (Jajaga) Szteligo. She grew up in Taunton and was a graduate of Taunton High School.
Mrs. Lynch was a dedicated homemaker to her loving family. She had also worked as an enameller at the Chartley Enameling Co. in the Chartley section of Norton, a business her family had owned and operated, and also at the Valentine Tool & Stamp Co. in Norton. When younger, during WWII she worked as a seamstress in the Whittenton section of Taunton.
Stephanie’s family was the focal point of her life, of which she particularly loved being surrounded by her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading and sewing. While living in Pawtucket she was a communicant of St. Cecelia’s Church and when residing in Norton, was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church.
She is survived by her devoted daughters, Janice A. Ferguson and her husband William of Pawtucket and Joyce A. Eisnor and her husband Bruce of Rocky Point, North Carolina. She was the dear sister of Ann Zaczkiewicz and Emelia Menard both of Taunton and the late Stanley Szteligo, James Szteligo and Wanda O’Bryan. She was the cherished grandmother of Bryan Ferguson, Marianne Budz, Julie Savoie, Amy Ferguson, Lindsay Eisnor and the late Neal Eisnor. She is also survived by 3 great grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 16th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power St. Norton. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Taunton.
Visitation will be held prior to the Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning beginning at 8:30A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.
