Carole A. (Dumaine) Foster- Carlino, age 79, of Norton, formerly of Mansfield passed away at home, in the presence of her loving family on Monday, April 7, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Carlino and the late William F. Foster, Jr.
Born in Canton, MA on May 20, 1934, She was a loving daughter of the late William A., Sr. and Lena (Smith) Dumaine. She grew up and was educated in Canton and was a 1952 graduate of Canton High School.
In addition to being a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family, Carole had previously worked at the former Fairfield Optical Co. in Mansfield and the former Chocolate Factory, also in Mansfield.
Carole had made her home in Norton and Mansfield for many years. She was a member of the Chartley United Methodist Church in Norton and was also a member of the Daughters of Rebekah.
Her favorite times spent were those with family, especially with her three generations of grandchildren. Carole’s interests included quilting, painting, gardening, and reading. She was quite knowledgeable on the subject of history and enjoyed researching her families genealogy.
She is survived by her devoted children, Jon R. Foster of Norton, Valerie J. Murphree of Foxboro, Cynthia J. Foster of Attleboro, Elizabeth M. Dykens of California, William Foster,III. of Plymouth, Andrew M. Foster of Norton, Mark A. Foster of North Attleboro, and Jeannette M. Ritchotte of North Attleboro. She was the dear sister of Frederick Dumaine of Sharon, Judith Schiffer of Foxboro, Donna Petzold of New Hampshire, and the late Arthur Smith, Alice Crowley, Virginia Kelle, William Dumaine, Jr. and Dorothy White. She is also survived by her cherished 22 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, 4 step daughters, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Friday, April 11th at 12:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield. Burial will follow in the Spring Brook Cemetery, Mansfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday morning prior to the services from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
