Arthur A. Houde, age 51, a lifelong resident of Norton, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, April 5, 2014.
Born in Attleboro, MA on March 3,1963, he was loving son of the late Robert A. and Beverly J. (Pineo) Houde. He grew up in Norton and was educated in Norton public schools.
For many years, Arthur was employed as a heavy equipment operator. He had also formerly worked as a lobsterman on Cape Cod.
He loved the ocean, which included boating, and also the many good times spent with family and his many friends.
He is survived by his devoted sons, Robert J. Houde and Jeffrey D. Houde both of Wareham. He was the dear brother of Norma Jean Andrews and her husband Barry of Norton and Jeffrey A. Houde of Bourne. He is also survived by several loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his former wife Elizabeth (Shaw) Houde of Wareham.
His Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 15th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power St., Norton.
Visiting hours have been omitted and burial will be private.
