Florence (Cangiano) Carpenito died peacefully at home with her family at her side on Sunday afternoon. She was 94.

A life-long Medford resident, Florence was the daughter of the late Francesco and Margaret (Sacco) Cangiano. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Florence enjoyed the company of her family and friends.

The beloved wife of the late Carmine A. Carpenito who died in 1974, she was a devoted mother to Marilyn Cavallo and her husband Rudy of Medford, Michael Carpenito and his wife Kathie of Medford, Anthony Carpenito and his wife Peggy of Ballston Spa, NY and Arthur Carpenito of Medford. The loving grandmother of Melissa, Christina, David, Michael Jr, Jennifer, Joseph, Anthony, Thomas, Sarah, Stephen, Amber and Joshua, Florence is also lovingly survived by 11 great-grandchildren. She was a dear sister to Helen Alpers, Frank “Chickie” Cangiano, Thomas Cangiano, the late Michael, Emanuel, George, Ernest, Albert Cangiano and Phyllis Carpinella.

Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford at 10:30 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family on Thursday from 4 – 8 PM.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Florence's name to a charity of one's choice.
