Mrs. Helen P. (Petrosino) Foti, age 86, died, Monday January 6, 2014 in Boston, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Helen was the beloved daughter of the late Maria (Saggese) & Alphonse Petrosino.

Helen has been a Woburn resident since 1981, formerly of West Medford. She was an extremely generous and classy lady and very active at St Barbara Church here in Woburn. Very active and independent, Helen also enjoyed her summers on Cape Cod.

At the age of 16, Helen began to work for Shawmut Bank on Federal St. Boston. She retired from Bank of America, at the same location, 50 years later. She was a foreign currency trader for many of those years. She was a graduate of Chelsea High School. Helen also loved to cook and bake. She had a special recipe for her famous Biscotti's. She loved to make them for her loving family.

Helen was the beloved wife of the late Peter J. Foti. Devoted mother of Frank P. Foti and his wife Judith L. of Stowe, VT, Peter J. Foti Jr. and his wife Christine A. of Boxford, Mary Ellen Foti and her husband Lawrence Spiegel of Roslindale, and his children Nathan, Andrew and Tyler. Loving Grandmother of Anthony P. Foti and Dominic P. Foti both of Stowe, VT, Emily C. Foti and her fiancé Nicholas Graziano of Wakefield, Allison H. Foti of Boxford. Sister-in-law of Anna Vassallo of Everett. Sister of the late Carmella Randazzo, Alphonse, Frank, Dominic and Ralph Petrosino. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. WOBURN, Friday at 10: 30 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Road, WOBURN at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8.

Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd. Woburn.
