Mary R. “Mary Rose” Gigante, 76 of Revere, died Friday unexpectedly in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA.

Born in Boston, she lived in Revere for the past 20 years and was formerly of Medford and the West End of Boston. She was the daughter of the late Marcelle (Moreau) and Joseph Russo.

Beloved wife of John Gigante. Devoted mother of Anthony Gigante, Kim Doyle both of Wilmington, Nicole Celeste of Chelsea, Lisa Stavropoulos of Needham, Christian Gigante of North Andover and Johnny Gigante of Medford. Also survived by 16 loving grandchildren, 4 loving great grandchildren and 6 loving brothers and sisters.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8.

Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
