Connolly, Bernadette (Griffin) 75, of Manomet, passed away on December 11, 2013 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. She was the former loving wife of her now friend John Connolly of Las Vegas. Devoted mother of Brian Connolly of Las Vegas, Annette Connolly, Kathleen Connolly–Assad (BFF), John Connolly, and caring mother in-law to Michelle Connolly and Emil Assad of Manomet. Dear sister of the late Frank Griffin, Mary Genovese, and Patricia Youvino, and loving sister to Ann Warren of Dorchester and John Griffin of Milton. She leaves behind her grand-children Matthew, Kaitlyn, Joshua, Jordan, Aidan, Rowan and many nieces, nephews, and faithful friends.
Bernadette was born in St. Mark's Parish in Dorchester and lived there until she moved to Plymouth 37 years ago. She proudly served the church as an active parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. Bonaventure’s Parish in Manomet. Bernadette retired from the State of Massachusetts Superior Court system in Plymouth, and enjoyed years of retirement spending time with family and friends.
Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home 619 State Rd. (Rte 3A) Plymouth (Manomet) on Tuesday December 17 from 5:00-8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bonaventure’s on Wednesday December 18 at 10:00 AM with internment to follow at Manomet Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend all services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Bonaventure’s Church in Bernadette's memory.
