Penney, Gerald “Jerry” of Plymouth 65, passed away at Jordan Hospital on December 11. Beloved husband of Marcia (Burns) Penney of Plymouth. Loving father of Ericka Penney of Pembroke, MA Chris Penney of Denver, CO, Ross Penney of Newbury, MA, and Laura Penney of Easthampton, MA. He also leaves his mother Rose Freeman of Easton 2 sisters Karen Vega of Pembroke and Dianne Penney-Brown of Taunton, and 4 grandchildren. Brother of the late Ron Penney.
Jerry was born in Boston the son of Sydney and Rose Penney. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War earning the (Vietnam Victory Medal with 4 Bronze Stars). Jerry was a driver for UPS working out of the Brockton Facility. Jerry was an avid golfer and was a member of the John Alden Sportsmen’s Club, and the Plymouth Order of the Moose. A Celebration of His Life will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home 619 State Road (Rte 3A) Plymouth, (Manomet) on Saturday December 14, from 11:00 to 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5 Manley Street, W. Bridgewater, MA 02379. Burial will be private
