Louise O. (Ruggelo) Jackson, 92, died Sunday, December 1, 2013 in a local nursing facility. She was the loving wife of the late Louis W. Jackson, who predeceased her in 1991.
Born in Chelsea on May 10, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Antoinette Ruggelo. She was raised and educated in Chelsea and had resided in Danvers for many years before moving to Peabody 34 years ago.
She had been employed in the care of the elderly at the former Heritage House Nursing Home and the former Liberty Pavilion Nursing Home until the time of her retirement. She enjoyed spending time crocheting, was active at the Peabody Senior Center, and loved spending time with her beloved family.
She is survived by her children, Sandra Mahoney and her husband Bernard of Peabody, Herbert Jackson and his wife Sylvia of Danvers, Robert Jackson of Peabody, and Lisa Marie Jackson of Peabody, her loving brother, Anthony Ruggelo, her grandchildren, Michael Mahoney, Rená Carr, and John, Anastasia, Danielle, and Heather Jackson, her great-grandchildren, Rachael, Michael, Brandon, Rosalee, Jasmine, Shantel, and Gianna, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Louis Jackson, Jr.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 10AM in Saint Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4-8PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.
