Patricia A. (Shea) Venezia, an 11 year resident of Saugus and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Monday, November 18, 2013 at her home in Saugus after a lengthy illness. She was 70 years old.
Patricia was born in Boston on December 30, 1942, a daughter of the late Patrick Shea and Margaret (Sullivan) Shea. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system. She worked for several years for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Division of Department of Youth Services and as a administrative assistant at Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary in Boston for over 5 years. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and spending quality time with her family.
Patricia is the loving wife of 53 years to Michael J. Venezia. She is the devoted mother of Sheila Williams and her husband Kevin of Billerica, Michael Venezia Jr. and his wife Susan of Everett, Erin Venezia and Chris Kelleher of Saugus and Mary Winslow and her husband Fred of Shrewsbury. She is the loving Nana to 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of Margaret McNicholas and her husband Tom of Charlestown and the late Maureen, Kevin, Timothy and Edward Shea.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Patricia's Funeral on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Visiting hours will be on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
