Obituary

Robert George Carbone, 77, passed away on November 13, 2013 in Beverly Hospital.
Born in Salem on August 14, 1936, he was the son of the late Peter Sante and Margaret (Lettich) Carbone. Robert was raised and educated in Salem and graduated from Salem High School. He served our country with the Unites States Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. Robert had been employed with Eastman Gelatine for 25 years. Robert enjoyed riding his motorcycle, traveling and golfing. He was a member of the P.R.L.A.C.C. in Danvers and the Vittori-Rocci Post in Beverly.
He is survived by four daughters, Deborah Michaud and her husband Todd of Danvers, Pamela Carbone and her fiancé Fred Spina of Danvers, Tina Zarella and her husband Brant of Merrimac and Melissa Carbone of Amesbury, three siblings, John “Jack” Carbone of Salem, Louise Casey of Beverly and Marie O’Hara of Texas, five grandchildren, Desiree, Dominique, Gianna, Santino and Kaycee and the mother of his children, Carol Simontacchi. He was predeceased by his siblings, Peter Carbone, Joseph Carbone, Mark Carbone, Lucille McInnis and Marjorie Haefner.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9AM on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours are Monday from 4-7PM at C.R. Lyons& Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Robert’s name to Operation troop Support c/o 16 Trinity St., Danvers, MA, 01923.
