Joan C. MacDonald, 82, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2013 in the Hannah Duston Nursing Home in Haverhill.
Born on November 1, 2013, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Anna (Tranior) MacDonald. Joan lived in Danvers for many years before moving to Hampstead, NH. She was a graduate of Holten High School in Danvers. She worked for Western Electric and retired from Alcated Lucent.
She is survived by two sisters, Jackie Neary of Danvers and Kathleen Healy of Florida, a brother Roger MacDonald and his wife Marjorie of Ipswich and a sister-in-law Vera MacDonald of Salem. Joan was a loving “Auntie” to her many nieces and nephews, as well as to the Day family. She was predeceased by three brothers, James, Hugh and Charles MacDonald.
Joan will be missed by all for her contagious laugh, her sunny smile and her love of life. Her family is grateful to the wonderful team of healthcare professionals who treated her with kindness and love at the Hannah Duston Nursing Home.
Her Funeral Services will be held privately.
