Linda L. (Carter) Vitale, a 3 year resident of Stoneham and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly at her home in Stoneham on Saturday, November 2, 2013. She was 59 years old.
Linda was born in Eastport, Maine on November 1, 1954 a daughter of Evon L. (Jones) Connors and the late Francis "Butch" Connors. She grew up in Charlestown and was educated in the Somerville Public School system and graduated from Somerville High School in 1973. Linda took pride working as a techers assistant with special needs children in the Boston Public School system at the Elliot School in the North End of Boston and the Kent School in Charlestown. She also worked several years as a crossing guard for the Boston Public School system. Linda enjoyed the quality time she was able to spend with her family.
Linda is the loving wife of 35 years to Anthony B. "Tony" Vitale. She is the devoted mother of Anthony B. Vitale II and his fiance Erica Walsh of Charlestown. She is the loving Nana to Kyla K. Vitale. She is the beloved daughter of Evon L. (Jones) Connors and the late Francis "Butch" Connors. She is the beloved sister of Susan Craghead of New Hampshire, Sandra Mokrisky of Maine, Wayne Carter of New Hampshire and the late Donna Rusecky. She is the beloved step-sister of Peter Connors and his wife Marie, Maureen Connors and the late Frank Connors and Timothy Connors. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Linda's Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 10 A.M. in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Interment is private. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
