Marguerite V. (Watson) Vincent, age 83, of Rehoboth, formerly of Taunton, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 7, 2013 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
Born in Norton, MA on January 8, 1930, she was a loving daughter of the late James and Esther (Lincoln) Watson. She grew up in Norton and was a graduate of Norton High School.
Prior to retiring, Marguerite had worked as an occupational therapist at the former Paul A. Dever State School in Taunton, where she had been employed for over 20 years.
A resident of Rehoboth for the past 13 years, she had formerly resided in Taunton for 51 years.
Marguerite’s favorite hobby was playing cards with friends at the Norton VFW. She also enjoyed camping in the summer months and when younger, dancing the weekends away with her late brother Wallace.
She is survived by her devoted children, Karen J. Bowman of Middleboro, Robert J. Vincent, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Rehoboth, Raymond J. Vincent, and the late Robin M. Vincent. She was the dear sister of Esther Neto of Taunton, Albert Watson of Norton, James Watson and his wife Judy of Norton, and the late Wallace Watson and Charlotte Driver. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Peter Bowman, Tracy Furtado and her husband Michael, Cassidy Vincent and Kylie Vincent, her great grandchildren, Savannah Leary and Tyler Furtado, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Friday, October 11th at 10:00 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial will follow in the Norton Center Cemetery in Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 10th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
