William F. McInerny, of Peachtree Corners, GA and formerly of Lynnfield, MA, died on Friday, September 27, 2013. He was 74. The son of Helen (Haggerty) and Stephen C. McInerny, William was born on September 15, 1939 in Winchester, MA, he attended Woburn High School where he starred as running back for the football team. In 1961, he married the former Lois Anderson and together they had four children, Sandra, Stacey, William and Kevin. For the best part of his life, William worked as proprietor of Cliftondale Paint and Wallpaper in Saugus, MA and also worked for his close friend Steven DiLorenzo at DiLorenzo Construction. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Kiwanis Club and the Elks fraternal organization. He will be greatly missed. William is survived by his beloved wife of more than fifty years, Lois, his four children to whom he was so devoted, his loving brothers and sisters, Sheila, Stephen, James, Mary Ellen, Paul, and John, his grandchildren, Rex, William, Haley, Connor and Even, Michael, Daniel, and Brian as well as numerous nieces and nephews. His brother, Edward, predeceased him. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Costello Funeral Home 177 Washington St., Winchester on Wednesday October 2, at 9AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Charles Church 280 Main St., Woburn at 10AM. Burial will be private. Visiting Hours will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 4:00-8:00pm.
