Sister Maggie Lee Campbell was born June 27, 1928, in Water Valley, MS to the parents of Mr. Ben Campbell and Mrs. Della Katherine Hall Campbell. She was the baby girl of nine children and all eight siblings preceded her in death, Cleo Campbell Wright, Maebell Campbell Phillips, Theron Campbell, Worthan Campbell, Bennie Campbell, Tom Presley Campbell, Roy Winston Campbell and Exric Campbell.

God looked down upon the earth and saw Sister Campbell’s tired face.
He put His arms around her and lifted her to rest in her eternal home on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the age of eighty-five.

Sister Campbell had worked as a farmer, a housekeeper, and at Ram Tool, which would later become Borg-Warner. She accepted Christ as her personal savior and joined Everdale Missionary Baptist Church in Water Valley, MS. and remained a faithful member until her health failed. During her active years at Everdale M.B. Church, she was a dedicated member of the choir and served as president of the Pastor’s Aide Club.

Although she is resting with God, she leaves to mourn and to cherish her memories: a daughter, Katherine Campbell (Harry) Hervey, Oxford, MS; five grandsons, Anthony (Paula) Oxford, MS; Samuel (Trice) and Barry, Chicago, IL; Jack (Diane) and Harry, Monroe, LA; two granddaughters, Paulie Ann (Bryan) Gilliom, Oxford, MS and Yolanda (Cedric) Cobbs, Tupelo, MS; thirty- eight great-grandchildren; a caregiver, Russell Kuykendall; a special friend and neighbor, Ethel Morgan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other
relatives and friends.

Five grandchildren preceded her in death.

Visitation is planned for Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 5 until 7 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Services are planned for 11 AM Friday, September 27, 2013 at Everdale M. B. Church with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will follow the service at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Water Valley, MS with Bro. David Lynn Bland Bro. Willie Pulley, Bro. Stacy Johnson, Bro. Hosea Rockett, Bro. Roger Mayes, Bro. Wade Williams, Bro. James Owens and Bro. James Wright serving as pallbearers.
