George R. Miller of Milford, formerly of Natick, died on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at the Stanley R. Tippet Hospice Home in Needham. He was only 61 years old.
Born on February 6, 1952 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late George W. & Bertha E. (Dukehart) Miller. He was raised in Street, Maryland and attended North Harford High School in Pylesville, Maryland. George attended Regent College in New York while serving our country proudly for over twenty years as a sergeant with the United States Army.
After his military service, he worked as the Branch Chief of Business Operations and Maintenance, DPW, for Natick Labs from 2006 until his retirement in 2012. He was a resident of Natick since 1978, a member of the Fisk Methodist Church of Natick and enjoyed photography and NASCAR.
Mr. Miller was the devoted husband of Michelle M. (Allain) Miller of Milford with whom they shared thirty years of marriage. He was the loving father of David Miller of Baltimore, Kristin Baldwin & husband Reed of Red Lion, PA, Shona Bradley & husband Edwin of Collegeville, PA, Jason Miller of Boston & Courtney Miller of Milford. Cherished grandfather of Matthew, Sara, Elizabeth & Ethan. Caring brother of Samuel Miller & wife Mary of Maryland, Shirley Ann Miller & partner Kent Perry of Costa Rica & the late Donald & William Miller. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins & close friends.
George’s Funeral Service will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Friday, August 23rd at 10:00AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours Thursday from 4:00-7:00PM in the funeral home. Interment in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne, Massachusetts at 1:30PM with Military Honors.
