Eileen M. (McCarthy) Dennis of Natick died on Monday, August 12, 2013 at the Massachusetts General Hospital of Boston.
Born in Boston and raised in Weston, she graduated from the Academy of the Assumption School in Wellesley and Salve Regina University. Ms. Dennis started her career as a social worker for a large California hospital working with cancer patients. She did this for several years until she started her family. After returning to Massachusetts, she was an auditor for a bank and then finished her career working at Boston University, first in auditing and then in the Research Administration Department at the Medical school.
She was a resident of Natick, a very active and faithful member of St. Patrick’s Church of Natick and was a Eucharistic Minister to people in area hospitals. Eileen enjoyed dancing and watching sports especially baseball and football. She was the loving mother of Joel Dennis of Natick. Caring sister of Patricia M. Dorsey of Needham & the late Maureen M. O’Duggan & her husband Donnell of Needham & the late Stanley L. McCarthy, Jr. & his wife Mary Ellen of Marshfield. Also survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Funeral from John Everett & Sons, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Saturday, August 24th at 9:00AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Patrick’s Church, 44 E. Central St., Natick at 10:00AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours Friday, August 23rd from 4:00-7:00PM. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham.
