Obituary

Normand Laurianno, 66 of Fall River, passed away August 2, 2013 at home. He was the beloved husband of Margaret “Margie” M. (Vasconcellos) Laurianno and the son of the late Normand W. and Marion (Brett) Laurianno. Prior to retiring, Normand was a schoolteacher for 33 years, teaching English and History at B.M.C. Durfee High School. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, having served aboard the USS Basilone DD824. He was a parishioner of St Bernard Church and a member of the V.F.W. and the Bristol County Retired Teachers Association. He had also been a Lector and CCD teacher at the former St. Williams Church for 10 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Norm & his wife Maggie Laurianno Jr., their children Corinne, Ryan, and Colin of Fall River, Eric & his wife Kelly Laurianno, their children Sarah and Hannah of E. Providence, and Dawn & her husband Gabe Simas, their children Nathan and Juliana of Fall River; sisters: Judy Pires and Debra Cassidy; and several nieces & nephews. He was the brother of the late Kenneth Laurianno.

His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on TUESDAY at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernard Church, Assonet at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River.
