Wayne Louis Roy, 71, went home to his Lord, Tuesday July 9, 2013 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center.
He was born in Louisville to Paul Joseph & Nellie Bessie (Reesor) Roy.
Wayne was a retired Hydraulics Engineer for the U.S. Navy, with 33 years service and was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a member of the first graduating class of DeSales High School (1961).
Wayne was preceded in death by his Parents, 3 Brothers: Paul, Cecil & Charles Roy; and a Sister: Joeta Roy.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Ollie Bell (Meredith) Roy; his children: Darrell Roy (Trina) and Colleen M. (Roy) Maggard (Chad);
2 Grandchildren: Savannah & Logan Roy and 5 Step-Grandchildren; 2 Sisters: Reba Webb and Rita Comtois and a host of nephews, nieces & cousins.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy with burial to follow in Jack Meredith Cemetery, Edmondson County, KY.
Visitation will be Friday 1 – 8 PM
