NATICK: Susan C. (Cunniff) Edgerly, age 67, a loving and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, died peacefully on Thursday morning July 4, 2013, at her Framingham home. She was the devoted wife of Charles E. “Chuck” Edgerly, Jr., whom she wed on her birthday in 1993.
Born in Boston, she was a daughter of the late Thomas C. and Lillian (Dernier) Cunniff. She was raised in Brookline and later Watertown, where she was a 1965 graduate of Watertown High School.
Susan began her long career with New England Telephone, starting as an operator right after high school. She married and started a family, living in Newton prior to settling in Natick. Upon marrying Chuck, Susan made her home in Framingham. She retired from the phone company as an administrative assistant in their construction office in 1995.
A family oriented lady, she enjoyed vacations with Chuck in Kennebunk, ME, watching movies, tending her home and houseplants, riding with her husband on his bike, spoiling the family dogs, and playing Words with Friends. Susan shared her warmth and kindness with all those who were fortunate enough to pass through her life.
In addition to Chuck, she is survived by two sons, John Prespolis and his wife Tara of ME, and Jason Prespolis and his wife Lucy of Natick; her grandchildren, Amber, Jordan, Mara, Ellie, and Jared; her sisters, Sandra DeCola and partner Stephen Bell of Belmont, Donna Jean Legare of Nashua, NH, Aurelie Antine of Sherborn, and Margaret Muttart and her husband Doug of Watertown; a brother, Robert Steele of Newton; and many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Service will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, Natick, on Monday, July 8th at 7:00p.m. Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 3:00p.m. until the start of the service.
