Obituary

Margaret M. (Morgan) Karr passed away Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Beaumont Nursing Home of Natick.

She lived a rich life to 97 years young! As a child, she loved her Grandparents' dairy farm and family in Hanover, Peterborough, and Canaan, NH. Her one-room school house in Enfield, NH began her love of learning. That zest for learning continued at Hanover Regional School. During her adolescence, one of her passions was to ski "Suicide Six!" She also loved the adventure of climbing Mt. Monadnock. She readily formed strong friendships with extended family and neighbors.

As she approached her young womanhood, she enjoyed the cultural and historic intrigue of Boston. As Boston was her mother's cherished city, she discovered the offbeat venues during her summers. As a graduate of Byrant and Stratton business school, she became a prominent secretary for the infamous, Dartmouth football coach, "Red Blake."

Love at first sight changed the journey for Margaret and John. They met while he attended Dartmouth College. They won accolades for their "dance style" across ballroom floors during the Big Band Era. Rock and roll--through the Depression, World War II, small business ventures, and more than one could capture in their 73 years of blissful marriage.
Many people have queried, "What is YOUR secret to a long, endearing marriage?" Follow your dreams, believe in each other, live fully, and, last but not least, never go to bed without a kiss and an "I love you."
She was the devoted wife of the late John J. Karr, loving mother of Dr. P J Karr and her beloved soul mate Antonio Rinella of Natick, Beverley J. Feeney and her husband Martin J. of Needham and the late Patricia LaPerle and her late husband Donald LaPerle. Cherished Nana of Dr. Kelly Feeney-Kettler and her husband Dr. Ryan Kettler of NJ, Brett Feeney and his wife Dr. Gypsi Feeney of Virginia and Lee Perloff and his wife Catherine of Sterling. Great Nana of Austin J. Kettler, Kellan F. Feeney and Matthew Kelley.
