John E. Ross of Venice, FL, formerly of Natick & Wareham, MA died on February 26, 2013 in Florida. He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Jean A. (Frongillo) Ross. Born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late John & Anna (Dwyer) Ross. John was a self-employed plumber as well as the Plumbing Inspector for the Town of Natick. He graduated from Natick High School & entered the United States Marines Corp. in 1943 at the age of 17 and served our country proudly during WWII in the Pacific Theatre on the Island Hopping Campaign including Iwo Jima & Okinawa. Mr. Ross was a lifetime member of the Natick Elks & the American Legion and was an avid golfer. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving children, John Ross & his wife Cheryl of Treasure Island, FL, James Ross of Natick, Jeffrey Ross & his wife Diane of Medway & Janice Hart & her husband Robert, also of Medway. Cherished grandfather of nine & great grandfather of five. Caring brother of Helen Palmer of Upton & the late Donald Ross. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Patrick’s Church 44 E. Central St., Natick on Saturday, June 22nd at 10:00AM. Relatives & Friends respectfully invited. There are no visiting hours in the funeral home.
