Obituary

Following a lenghty battle with cancer, William Ross Campo, Sr., 82 of Parkville, died Saturday morning, February 2nd at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Bill "Mutzie", was born in Baltimore, MD on February 23, 1930 to Raffaele and Minnie May Camponeschi. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from Teledyne Energy Systems. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Sons of Italy.

He is survived by his two sons, William Ross Campo, Jr. and wife Mary Jo Campo of Jessup , Richard Anthony Campo of Baltimore , his daughter Robin Lee Martin and husband Dick Savage Martin of Westminister, he is also survived by James and Christopher Popelarski, 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores.

He is survived by Catherine "Kitty" Hayes, her four children, Thomas Joseph Hayes and wife Janet Hayes of Perry Hall, Brian Hayes and wife Melisa Hayes of Nottingham, Stephen Hayes and wife Christine Hayes of Forest Hill, Jennifer Lynn Rizzo and husband Troy Rizzo of Joppa and 10 grandchildren.

He will be remembered as a caring and generous friend, a kind and compassionate father, and loving and protective companion.

Friends may call the Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 5th from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9p.m. All are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in The Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary on Wednesday, February 6th at 11a.m. Interment in Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
