Nancy Marie (Powers) Hubman, 52, a long-time resident of Woburn, formerly of Winchester, passed away suddenly, Jan. 9, 2013. Born in Everett, she was the daughter of Dorothy A. (Crowley) Powers and the late Robert W. Powers of Winchester. Raised and educated in Winchester, Ms. Hubman was a 1978 graduate of Winchester High School. She was the loving mother of Michael S. Hubman of Woburn, and family and friends agree that her favorite pastime was bragging about her son. In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed scrap-booking, baking and walking around Horn Pond. She leaves behind five siblings: Michael Powers of Merrimack, NH, Denise Batalis of N. Reading, Carey Powers of Andover, Tracy Allen of Methuen and Kelly Powers of Winchester. She was the devoted aunt of John Batalis, Stephanie Aguiar, Mary Batalis, Justin and Shannon Allen, Sarah and Lauren Powers, and the great-aunt of Nikolas Aguiar. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester on Monday, Jan. 14, at 9AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester at 10AM. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5PM. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
