Edward J. “Pa” Boudreau, of Arlington and Rockport, Jan. 1. Age 90; beloved husband of the late Anella (Sakowich) Boudreau and “Best Friend Forever” of Carol Gaudette of Rockport. Father of Edward J. Boudreau, Jr., and his wife Janet of Winchester; Paul T. Boudreau and his wife Joan of St. Charles, MO, and St. Augustine, FL. Grandfather to Nancy A. Boudreau and David J. DuPriest of Stoneham, MA, Paul F. Boudreau of St. Charles, MO, Mark E. Boudreau and Kat Zeiler of Arlington, MA, and Jill A.(Boudreau) and Eric Meyer of North Attleboro, MA. Great Grandfather to Kalyn, Zach, Olivia, and Grace Meyer, and Tanner and Aaron DuPriest. Uncle to many nieces and nephews, WWII veteran, engineer and scientist, who contributed in the fabrication and design of instrumentation for two Apollo and two Space Shuttle missions plus countless other projects for clients of Arthur D. Little in Cambridge where he had an association lasting almost four decades. His contributions and inventions led to breakthroughs in health care, energy conservation and everyday life. He loved his many days in Rockport and nature’s beauty that surrounded him there. A truly remarkable man and a member of the Greatest Generation, he will be missed by many. Funeral will be held from the Costello Funeral Home 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Tuesday, January 8th, at 8:45AM, followed by a Rite of Christian Burial in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St., Reading, at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Monday, Jan 7th from 4-8PM.
