Gerald J. Demmons, 82, of Londonderry, NH died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Kindred Healthcare Center in Nashua surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 3, 1930 in Lowell, MA, a son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Newcomb) Demmons. Gerald was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He also enjoyed reading and gardening.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Jean (Sheppard) Demmons of Londonderry, three children, Shawn Demmons of Londonderry, Jeremy Demmons and his wife Kristan of Memphis, TN, and Elaine Demmons of Derry, five grandchildren, Sarah, Erica, Katelyn, Jenna, and Kallie, one great grandson, Payton, three brothers, Robert, David and Joseph, two sisters, Vivian and Suzie, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held on Friday, December 21, 2012 from 2 -5pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
