Obituary

FRAMINGHAM: Donald Leo Scully, age 77, a former longtime resident of Framingham, died peacefully on Thursday evening, September 6, 2012, after a brief stay at EPOCH of Harwich. He had been living in West Harwich for the past few years.

Born in Boston on May 3, 1935, he was a son of the late Leo A. and Blanche M. (Peterson) Scully. He was raised and educated in Dover and then served with the Army in post-war Korea.

Donald married and settled in Sherborn while employed with the Town of Dover as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He was commended for his more than 40 years of devotion to the town, particularly the Department of Public Works, at a ceremony held at the time of his retirement. Donald continued to lend a hand to those working at the DPW for many years thereafter. He had lived in Framingham or over 30 years.

He is survived by his children, Susan Fuller of AZ, Karen Martin of Worcester, and Michael Scully and Debbie Forbes both of FL; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Highland Cemetery, 54 Centre Street, Dover, on Thursday, Sept. 13th at 1:00p.m. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend.
