Raymond O. Watson, 73, of Fitzgerald, died Monday, April 2, 2012, at the Fitzgerald Nursing Home.
A memorial service will be held at 2PM Thursday, April 5, 2012, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Earlie Holt officiating.
Mr. Watson was born August 15, 1938 in Marston, Missouri to the late Woodrow Wilson and Pauline McGee Watson. He lived in Fitzgerald most of his life and graduated from high school in Matthews, Missouri. For more than 40 years, he was Production Manager for Elixir Industries-G & L Steel. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his children, Machelle and Bo Roberts, Michael “Buddy” Watson and Missy Aldridge, Paula W. and Ralph Bullington, Raymond, Jr. and Torre Watson, Gary and Wanda Watson, all of Fitzgerald; 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Shirley Watson of Sikeston, MO and sister, Linda Tubbs of Key West, FL. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandaughter, one brother and one sister.
