Obituary

Trinton Otto Brantley, age 86, of Douglas, GA passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2012. Mr Brantley was the son of the late Archie and Willie Mae Hardrick Brantley. He served in the
U.S. Marine during World War II.

Mr. Brantley is survived by. One son, Michael Trenton Brantley of Douglas, GA.; One daughter, June Rowell, of Douglas, GA. One sister, Hattie Harkleroad, of Douglas, GA. One granddaughter, Kaci Wright, of Douglas, GA.

Funeral Service were held on Friday, January 6 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Elisha Purvis, Rev. Rick Brown, and Rev. Huey Nicholls officiating. Interment followed at Douglas City Cemetery, with U.S. Marine Corps providing military honors. Music was furnished for the service by the Congregation “Amazing Grace” and Phillip Jowers “I’ll Fly Away” with Lois Mills on the piano. Active Pallbearers were Johnny Amerson, Eric Toth, John Willie Jackson, Michael Wright, Jerry Bryant, and Gordon Lewis. Honorary Pallbearers were Roy White, Vyrlin Stone, Martin Sears, Morris Horton, Cecil Holt, Fred Meeler, Jamie Rowell, Sam Taylor, and Bishop Moore. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
