Potamis, Sarah (Varoutsos), 98, of Woburn, died peacefully in her sleep on May 28, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Gregory J. Potamis. Devoted mother of James G. Potamis and his wife Mary of Woburn, Gerald C. Potamis and his wife Eugenie of Falmouth, and Katherine Balesteri of Bradford and her late husband John P. Balesteri. Also survived by seven lovinggrandchildren, Gregory James Potamis, Christine (Potamis) Conlon, Jeffrey Potamis, Gregory Gerald Potamis, Steven Potamis, Melanie Balesteri and the late Cynthia (Balesteri) Ray, nine loving great grandchildren and twelve nieces and nephew.Daughter of the late Constantinos and Angeliki (Papastathis) Varoutsos. Sister of Esther Woods of Illinois, Mary Koniares of York, Maine,Nicholas Varoutsos of Woburn, and the late Dora Velesaris, Helen Bakis, Athena Pratt, Annette Varoutsos, Christie Varoutsos, Peter Varoutsos, Nicholas Varoutsos, Dionisios Varoutsos, Louis Varoutsos and John Varoutsos.Visiting hours are on Wednesday June 1st from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 70 Montvale Ave, Woburn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
