Constance “Connie” Bishop
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, March 19, 2011, Mrs. Constance “Connie” Bishop, 73, wife of Col. Robert Bishop.
Mrs. Bishop was a native of Keyser, WV. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Trinity Sunday School class. She was a substitute teacher at Davidson Fine Arts. Mrs. Bishop was a member of the Brookfield Neighborhood Association, a Girl Scout Leader and an Army wife. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Bishop loved to garden and was a Master Gardener. She was a world traveler. She enjoyed nothing more than to make others laugh and enjoy life.
Family members in addition to her husband include daughters: Sherri Doenges (Col. Wade), Teri Timm (Col. Robert), grandchildren: Kalli Doenges, Hollie Doenges, Olivia Timm and Erich Timm, niece: Ann Redondo. Mrs. Bishop was preceded in death by parents: Leonard Eugene Cross and Margaret Armentrout Cross, brother: Donald Cross and sister: Betty Jean Dinteman.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. George Robertson officiating. Internment will be held in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
