Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, January 30, 2011, Mrs. Sybil Newton Futrelle, 83, wife of the late Frank J. Futrelle.
Mrs. Futrelle was a native of Hiltonia, GA. but lived in Augusta most of her life. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. Mrs. Futrelle was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.
Family members include daughters: Kathy Renner (Bill) and Nancy Fletcher (David); son: Jeff Futrelle (Lisa); grandchildren: Meredith Dykes (Brent), Brandon Furr (Emily), Whitney Walker (Blake), Taylor Fletcher (Brittany), Erik Fletcher (Beth), Franklin Futrelle (Jessica), Elizabeth Futrelle and 6 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the employees and staff of Brookdale Place for their love and care.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Brandon Furr officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to one’s favorite charity.
