Obituary

Doris M. St. Germain 98, formerly of Woonsocket, N. Smithfield, and N. Ft. Myers, FL died Friday at the Madonna Manor in N. Attleboro, MA. She was predeceased by her husband Adelard St. Germain and a daughter Lorraine. She was born April 9, 1912 in Woonsocket to Samuel and Laura (Chabot) Godon. Doris was instrumental in the founding of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church in Woonsocket. She belonged to the Ladies Guild and hosted many card parties as fund raisers and worked their carnivals. She retired as President of the Circle Marie-Louise. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and her ongoing family get-togethers.

She is survived by her four loving children, Lucille Galipeau of Cumberland, Adelard St. Germain Jr. and his wife Pauline of N. Fort Myers, Fl, Suzanne Danko and her husband John of N. Attleboro, MA, Gerald St. Germain and his wife Barbara of N. Smithfield, eighteen grandchildren, thirty seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by eight siblings. She will be greatly missed by all who know her.


Visitation will be held Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket follow by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. In lieu of flowers donations to the National Shrine of LaSalette, 947 Park St. Attleboro, MA 02703 in Doris' memory would be appreciated.
