Thomas S. Magri, 49, of Mansfield formerly of Westwood passed away surrounded by his loving family and friends in the comfort of his home on Sunday December 19, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Kim M. (Luna) Magri to whom he was wed for the past 22 years.
Born in Boston, MA on November 1, 1961, he was a loving son of James S. and Agnes M. (McDonough) Magri of West Roxbury.
Tom grew up in Westwood, was educated in Westwood public schools and was a 1979 graduate of Westwood High School. He furthered his studies and graduated from Bentley College.
A Software Engineer, Tom had most recently been employed at Casenet in Bedford. He had made his home in Mansfield for the past 15 years and was a former longtime resident of Westwood.
A communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield, Tom was a voracious reader, an avid New England sports fan, and will always be fondly remembered for his quick wit.
In addition to his beloved wife and parents, he is survived by his devoted children James Magri, Andrea
Magri and Robin Magri all of Mansfield. He was the dear brother of Maureen Villa and her husband Stephen of Marvin, North Carolina and Susan Magri and her husband Christopher Ryan of Holliston. He was the son in law of Alfred and Theresia (Fuchsen) Luna of Dedham and the brother in law of David Luna and his wife Joan of Braintree. The loving of uncle of Stephen, Amy, Sabrina and Braden Villa, Sophie and Jack Ryan and Michael and Emily Luna, he is also survived by several cousins including Patty and her husband Dr. Jody Rich of Providence who supported him during his illness as well as many close friends including Chris Sheehy of Sharon who he considered a brother.
His Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Thursday December 23rd at 9:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church 330 Pratt St.(Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday December 22nd from 5-8 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield.
In lieu of flowers, Tom’s family has requested that donations in his memory may be made to the Magri Children’s Educational Fund, care of Bank of America 355 North Main St. Mansfield, MA 02048.
